Customer Appreciation Ideas that work!

Customers are the heart of any company and we want to keep them while we continue to gain more. Depending on the type of business you have, customers are sometimes like family to an entrepreneur. Especially if you are in the service industry, you have a close connection with customers. So why not thank them for choosing you?

I have been in business for 7 years and like providing thank yous. About 4 times a year, I give each of my customers a small thank you to let them know I appreciate them. After all, without customers we have no business. Sometimes I go overboard and spend a little more, it just depends on the year we have had. Of course customer gifts are tax deductible as long as they are less than $40 per customer. As a new customer we always mail a "welcome to the family" post card to show that we appreciate them. We got our post cards printed at https://www.vistaprint.com

Below I will show you some ideas I have done in the past that had my customers sharing our business information with friends and family.

Using any type of reusable product keeps your customers thinking about the appreciation gift long after the initial excitement. This was a holiday thank you that I did. I tried to keep the items non denominational to appeal to everyone.

In the fall I did a hand soap with a coupon for a holiday cleaning. Not only did the customers love it, we gained more business because of it. This was 1 of the more expensive gifts I've done, but you could always use a soap that cost $1 to create the same effect.
